2021 Women in Financial Advice Awards Finalist – Loretta Mooney
We are delighted to announce that Kellands Chartered Financial Planner Loretta Mooney is nominated for two awards at the 2021 Women in Financial Advice Awards. Loretta is a finalist in the Financial Adviser of the Year – North West and Woman of the Year – Retirement categories.
Loretta who is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, is one of the most experienced members of the team here at Kellands and has almost thirty years’ experience in financial services. Working closely with professional connections including doctors, dentists, lawyers and accountants she has a wealth of expertise, specialising in public sector service pensions.
Why these awards are important
Organised by Professional Adviser and Retirement Planner these awards celebrate the achievements of women working within the financial advice community and also the financial services sectors that work to provide solutions for their clients. These awards are not about men versus women or whether a particular gender is more suited to a career or role in financial services - they are simply about celebrating and recognising the achievements of women in a sector where they continue to be under-represented.
In highlighting the achievements of women in the financial services world, as well as recognising individuals of either gender who help to maximise the potential of women or are striving to bring about a more appropriate gender balance, the Women In Financial Advice Awards helps to inspire more women to work in an already dynamic sector that, nevertheless, stands a long way short of fulfilling its true potential.
Kellands recognises the importance of developing talent and Loretta is an integral part of this, mentoring and providing support to members of the team who are working towards qualifications. Loretta is also an Education Champion for the Chartered Institute of Insurers, a pro bono initiative that aims to deliver financial awareness to schools across the UK.
